The Master in Integrated Design (MDI) is a course that bases its structure on methodologies oriented to the project, putting as main objective the possibility of creating a formative platform where students can build their future. The basic idea is to develop a profile of a professional able to adapt to the context, where each student is able to interpret and consequently adapt to the constant changes that present and characterize our reality.

Course Aims

  • Increase importance of Research / Development in the Design view as an asset when related to a specific part of the project;

  • Stimulate for processes that are oriented towards a holistic design project (product, environment, service), and a management of productive processes integrated into effective strategies;

  • To develop the entrepreneurial capacity of the students, constructing creative strategies capable of producing innovation;

  • With the help of the partners, students can be placed in the business world, facilitating their insertion in business platforms.

Length and Professional Profile

Master in Integrated Design curricular structure wants to provide students with knowledge and analytical and design skills in the area of design that can be realized in the strategic thinking necessary to be able to operate in a business context.

Career Opportunities

The Master in Integrated Design aims to contribute to create professionals with competencies in the area of design, who can provide development, management and strategy roles in the design field in different contexts ranging from product, communication, environmental and service.

Entry Requirements:

  • Holders of a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent in Design, Arts, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering and related initial training courses;
  • Holders of a bachelors degree in the training areas referred to in the preceding paragraph and with relevant professional experience in these sectors of activity;
  • Holders of a foreign academic degree, which is recognized as meeting the objectives of a bachelor´s degree by the competent scientific board of the higher education institution where they intend to be admitted
  • Holders of a school, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting capacity to carry out this cycle of studies, by the competent scientific board of the higher education institution.

Number of credits: 90 ECTS
