Entry Requirements:

  • Holders of a bachelor´s degree or another legal equivalent;
  • Holders of a foreign academic degree following a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process;
  • Holders of a foreign academic degree, which is recognized as meeting the objectives of a bachelor´s degree by the competent scientific board of the higher education institution where they intend to be admitted;
  • Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum, which is recognized (by a competent scientific board of the higher education institution where they intend to be admitted) as attesting the candidate´s capacity to carry out this cycle of studies. (In art. 17. o, DL 74/2006 of 24th March).

Study cycle's objectives

The Master in Renewable Energy Systems program offers advanced training in the area of renewable energy systems or policy. The renewable energy systems specialisation is designed to provide scientists and engineers with specific training in advanced areas of renewable energy technology. The emphasis is on the design, analysis and implementation of energy systems, more specifically on renewable energy systems. The renewable energy policy specialisation is designed to provide environmental scientists and policy analysts with training in advanced areas of renewable energy technology and policy. The emphasis is on policy analysis, environmental monitoring and resource assessment related to renewable energy systems.

Competences to be developed by students

The curriculum of the course has the following components and their scientific expertise:

  • Wind and water;
  • Biomass and Biofuels;
  • Solar energy - photovoltaic and thermal;
  • Fuel cells;
  • Automation and artificial intelligence in energy management of buildings;
  • Developing solutions for rational use of energy and energy audits;
  • Legal aspects (the energy level), environmental
    and sociological associated with each specific application;

Conclusion

The existence of an education project at this level allows a deeper/redevelopment of the knowledge for people in industrial environment. The existence of a stable and qualified faculty with strong experience and contact with business reality can also be considered as a huge advantage. The fact that the Master is held in after-work schedule provides a new range of opportunities for the working students, who feel a need for specialization.
